Psychiatry

At Oasis Mental Health and Wellness our psychiatric mental health practitioners are responsible for assessing the mental health status of patients by studying their relevant medical history, performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, and identifying risk factors that might affect a patient’s mental health. They make diagnoses of their patients’ mental illness based on their assessment, and then determine what will be the most effective plan of care.  By utilizing their knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychotherapy modalities, and in collaboration with other professionals, these advanced-practice staff put their patients on a regimen of prescription medication and therapy when needed to improve their mental health.  As they evaluate their patients’ progress throughout their lifespan, our psychiatric practitioners provide support and education to individuals, families, and communities.

Therapy

Our therapists possess the needed skills to get you back on track or on a whole new track if needed. Therapists can assist those they treat in a variety of ways. They can help someone better understand and cope with their thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Therapists can provide guidance, help clients learn new skills, and improve their ability to reach goals. We want to help people realize their dreams and make positive lifestyle changes. Therapists assist with this by allowing clients to understand their own motivations, thoughts, and emotions. Our therapists will provide support and practical feedback to help our clients address current life changes and long-standing issues, while also giving compassion and understanding. At Oasis Mental Health and Wellness, the therapists can draw from a variety of methodologies and techniques in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere. We strive to offer a personalized approach tailored to each client’s individual needs to help them attain the growth they are striving for. These mental health professionals may also help assess and diagnose mental illness.
